No. Recordings start locally and are encrypted on-device. The moment you're back online they upload, transcribe and notify you when ready.
MP3, WAV, M4A and MP4 files up to 200 MB each. Uploaded files are processed by the same engine as live recordings.
We connect via OAuth to Google Calendar, Outlook 365, Apple Calendar or any CalDAV service. Access is read-only — Genie never writes to your calendar.
All audio in transit uses TLS 1.3. Local audio is encrypted using iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. Recordings are deleted after successful sync and your confirmation.
Transcripts can be exported as TXT, DOCX, SRT and PDF — with speaker labels and timestamps preserved.
